Understand your domain costs
The cost depends on the exact name you choose. Check a name, open it at Namecheap and confirm the current amount before paying.
Compare registration and renewal
- First year: the initial registration, which may have a promotional price.
- Annual renewal: the cost to keep the domain after the first year. Compare this alongside the initial price.
- Exact-name price: premium names, fees and optional extras can change the total shown at checkout.
Any saved estimate shown beside a selected name is a dated reference. It is not a live quote or a price set by Add Domain. The registrar confirms the current registration and renewal costs.
What Add Domain costs
Nothing: you pay the registrar directly.
Not included
- Email on your domain. Mailboxes are separate from domain registration and website hosting.
- Hosting. Keep the publishing host or plan that serves your website or app; the domain connects to it.
